D2Hawkeye is looking for a GUI/Web User Interface Designer to join our Design team. You will be responsible for transforming concepts into functional interface designs as well as enhancing existing interfaces to provide the best end-user experience. As the UI Designer you will collaborate with design engineers, developers, project managers and business analysts to define the overall visual and end-user experience. You will be the gatekeeper with regards to the overall appearance of the applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing HTML prototypes for visual interfaces of J2EE web-based applications
  • Integrating business, technology, and creative criteria into successful design solutions
  • Working closely with various internal departments to create product deliverables
  • Developing detailed functional specs and visual styles guides that developers can use to implement     the design
  • Interpreting internal and client requirements

 

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years designing web application interfaces
  • Experience working with Java (J2EE) technologies using JSP
  • Ability to code and manipulate CSS, HTML, and JSP templates
  • Strong visual design skills and keen eye for intuitive layouts
  • Implementation of UI concepts
  • Strong conceptual design, collaborative, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once and maintain strict deadlines

 

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of Adobe CS (Illustrator, Flash, etc.)
  • Experience working with Java Server Faces (JSF), AJAX, Portlets
  • Experience with Web Logic
  • Graphic design
