General responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Design new product features and enhancements for our entire product suite
• Touch all aspects of product design, from front-end user interface to middle tier to back-end data         sources
• Act as technical liaison between software development and client services teams
• Work with our clients, either directly or through the client services team, to create requirements         specifications, user interface mock-ups, and other documents to ensure that the product delivered       meets the client’s needs
• Interface closely with the Product Management, Product Development, Quality Control, Product           Research, and Business/Data Engineering teams as dictated by our Software Development Lifecycle     Processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field
• 2+ years in software engineering
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong knowledge of Java or similar object-oriented language

Highly desirable skills:

• Fluency in translating business requirements into design specifications
• Some fluency with:
• J2EE web application design patterns
• J2EE application servers (WebLogic, Tomcat, WebSphere, etc.)
• Web Services and integration architectures
• Relational database SQL programming and/or administrations – Oracle 10g in particular
• Healthcare claims data knowledge and experience

• Desire to take ownership for project deliverables and execute with a high standard of quality with       minimal supervision

• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, multi-cultural, and entrepreneurial engineering       organization
