Mr. Wallace joined American Healthways in 2003 and is responsible for managing strategic relationships and M&A activities.  Previously, Mr. Wallace was a General Partner of Petra Capital Partners, a $150 million private equity firm focused on investing in the healthcare and business services sectors.  Prior to joining Petra, he was a Managing Director with Gilbert Global Equity Partners, a $1.1 billion New York-based private equity firm created by the former Soros Capital investment team. 

Mr. Wallace joined Gilbert Global at its inception in 1997 and contributed to its development and success until 2001.  Prior to Gilbert Global, he was a Vice President with Lazard Asia Investment Management, a $250 million private equity fund focused on growth equity investments in Asia.  Prior to Lazard, Mr. Wallace served as an Associate with Golder, Thoma, Cressey, Rauner (GTCR), a $4 billion private equity firm in Chicago, where he focused on growth equity investments in healthcare and service based businesses.  Prior to GTCR Mr. Wallace, served as a Commercial Lending Officer with Bank of America.  He received his M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and his B.A. from the University of Richmond.
